The Vast is aptly named. It is the immense ocean that stretches on from the
eastern shores of Chaddamar to the horizon. Chaddamarian doctrine holds that to
sail to far out is to sail off the edge of the world. It is against the law to
take a ship more than 100 leagues out to sea. Chaddamar is considered holy land
by the faithful. To venture to far from land is to disrespect the Chaddamarian
gods.
