Desert Speech is a mish-mash of several local languages and regional dialects. It is a combination of Padashi, Mytharian, Guldra, Secambru, Urtas and a few other racial languages indigenous to Qeshir. Desert speech is spoken primarily in central Qeshir, between Padashan, the Broadlands and the Ahtabi Desert. It is spoken by caravan merchants, mercenaries, herder and others who wander the southern wastes. It is closest to Padashi.
Desert speech sounds much like a corrupt slang version of Padashi with many "borrowed" words and expressions from other languages. The whole is slurred together into a soft, flowing language of many vowels and few consonants.
Desert speech uses the Padashi alphabet, and a variant of the Padashi grammatical structure.
