Separating the Captured Sea from the Crystal Deep is a grouping of eighty five islands separating the two arms of the mainlands. These straits are known as the Straits of Yarin after the first person to sail through the straits, according to legend. Numerous ice bergs, ice floes and winter storms make the straits extremely treacherous and only the most foolhardy of captains will attempt to take a ship through during the cold winter months. Even the borrellians will wait for the friendlier summer months to do their usually raidings of the captured sea coastlines.
