Theran's Decanter

Physical Description

This fabulous decanter is crafted of translucent crystal, pure gold and decorated with precious jewels. It stands 18" tall and has a graceful, curved body and handle.

History

When the city of Ithell was formed, Lord Syrenil sent this gift to Queen Theran, the ruler of Cyrell at that time. Lord Syrenil's departure from Cyrell years earlier had been somewhat less than cordial. With this gift, apologies were made and the political ties between Cyrell and Ithell were formalized. From that day forth, these two political entities were bound by ties of honor and culture, sworn to defend and aid each other in times of need.  Theran's decanter was a prized possession of the elven ruling family of Cyrell for many generations. Some years ago, it was stolen and the elves of Cyrell have been looking for it ever since.

Enchantment

There is only one such decanter. This work of art is enchanted heavily and has the following properties:

1. Any liquid placed in the decanter is instantly purged of all poisons and impurities. 
2. The decanter will fill with wine or any other beverage upon command. It acquires this liquid from the nearest source (emptying out nearby wine bottles, etc.)
3. Upon command, the decanter will heat or chill any liquid placed inside it.
4. Any liquid kept in the decanter for at least one hour will acquire minor healing properties.

Drellis Effect Response

Will not function during a Drellis dominant stellar phase.
