Each duchy mints its own coins. Continuous trade over the centuries between the citadels has standardized the coinage. Although the stamping on the coins varies from duchy to duchy, in most cases, the coins are very similar and bear the same names.
1 Gold cairns = 10 Silver hills = 100 Copper stones = 1,000 Iron pebbles
Coffers in this land may also contain ingots, coins and rings fashioned from platinum, electrum, brass, bronze, tin and more exotic metals. Iron coins form the backbone of the economy because iron is so plentiful here.
